Project:
Mystery Writers Group Promotion for Holiday Book Funnel Event
Objective:
Social media materials for group members to post daily.
Strategy:
The project required a variety of designs to prevent repetitiveness during the two week promotion. In addition to social media graphics, I created a video trailer featuring the book covers in square and landscape formats, and a banner for the Book Funnel promotion page.
Project:
Book Launch, Cozy Mystery series – Brand development
Objective:
I’ve worked with author Darlene Dziomba on several book launches and promotion campaigns. Darlene did not have a visual identity in the beginning but we are continuing to mold her brand as her career moves forward. The first three books in her series were created by different cover designers and lack visual continuity so we needed to identify and amplify the consistencies between the pet detective trope and Darlene’s experience working with abandoned pets.
Strategy:
The challenge was to create a consistent voice and visual identity that connected the series’ titles. Darlene’s enthusiasm about her stories and animal welfare adds an infectious authenticity that attracts her target readers whether she is promoting books in person, on social media, during podcasts, or through her newsletter. By utilizing animal themed puns and images in our promotions, Darlene continues to build a roster of loyal readers who enjoy the fun wordplay.
This project is a great example of why authenticity will always send a stronger marketing message than a generic piece that does nothing to honor the author or the story.
Project:
Promotion/Marketing of a two-book literary series
Objective:
The objective was to create an emotionally amplified video that would attract new readers.
Strategy:
Character-driven novels require a different approach than action dominant stories. Since the author’s voice is visually expressive, the narration and video clips required a specific tone and rhythm to reflect the series’ pace.

Project:
REBRAND- The objective was to create a new, more relevant book cover and marketing graphics for a backlist title. After evaluation, we changed genre promotion to better fit the storyline. I also created a cinematic video trailer to promote the re-release and drafted covers for the next two series titles to maintain the new visual brand.
